ZJWEU Promoted the Joint Training Program for Postgraduates with the University of Exeter

On December 2, the online meeting to promote the joint training program for postgraduates with the University of Exeter was held. Professor Wang Zhongdong, Vice President of the University of Exeter andprofessors of related disciplines, Zhao Bo, Vice President of ZJWEU attended the meeting.

The two sides reviewed the history of cooperation between the two universities and exchanged views on in-depth student exchange, scientific research cooperation and partnership. Zhaosaid that the university has always attached great importance to the cooperation with the University of Exeter, and the jointtraining program has been highly recognized by teachers and students in recent years, which also has achieved promising results. Zhao also hoped that the two universities could further deepen cooperation and make breakthroughs in the fields of scientific research, student and faculty exchange, and partnership.

Wangsaid that since the University of Exeter signed a memorandum of cooperation with the ZJWEU, the two sides have been cooperating deeply in the joint training of students at the undergraduate and postgraduate level. Wang also said that the Engineering College of University of Exeter has many common features with majors of ZJWEU, and thus she are looking forward to frequent visits of teachers and students from both sides in the future to conduct joint scientific research.

During the meeting, the two sides interacted and exchanged views on the majors, scholarship application and study life of international students. The University of Exeter is a research-intensive university ranked top 150 in the world, and 98% of its research is rated as world leading or internationally recognized standard, 95% of its graduates are employed within 6 months after graduation, and its College of Engineering, Mathematics and Physics covers a variety of disciplines such as computer science (including big data and artificial intelligence), various types of engineering, renewable energy, geology, mathematics, physics, etc., with interdisciplinary research characteristics and advantages.
